The institute operates a Wi-Fi network and offers students study rooms and two computer labs (one with 30 workstations, the other with 15), all connected to the internet.<\/p>\n<p>PPGCS itself includes a reception area, one meeting room, desk space for program researchers, and an office shared by the coordination team. The meeting room is accessible to faculty and students and houses an IT lab with five computers and a television. In addition to its dedicated area, the program has access to a sectional library, one meeting room, and two air\u2011conditioned classrooms with projectors.<\/p>\n<p>Available equipment includes: 12 desktop computers; 10 laptops; 8 netbooks; 5 inkjet printers; 2 laser printers; 1 multifunction printer; 5 video cameras; 10 digital cameras; 3 tripods; 3 MP5 players; 1 MP3 player; 1 multimedia projector; 1 light emitter; 2 microphones; 2 battery chargers; 4 UPS units; 2 wireless routers; 9 external hard drives; 10 digital audio recorders; 1 conference table; 2 work tables; 13 chairs; 2 cabinets; 1 tall storage cabinet; 2 bookcases; 5 filing cabinets for hanging folders; 2 drawer units; 1 scanner; 1 10,000\u202fBTU air conditioner; 13 digital memory cards; 1 TV mount; and 1 42\u2011inch HD LCD television.<\/p>\n<p>At the Main Pavilion, there are AV- and IT\u2011equipped spaces, including the Hilton Salles multimedia room, and three air-conditioned amphitheaters (Gustavo Dutra, Room 82; and Professor Gusm\u00e3o\/Blue Hall). The Theoretical Teaching Pavilion (PAT) supports teaching activities with a multimedia auditorium and two computer labs.<\/p>\n<p>The Multidisciplinary Institute on the Nova Igua\u00e7u campus comprises two buildings: the undergraduate facility with 72 classrooms, four multimedia rooms, an auditorium, two computer labs, and 32 faculty offices; and the graduate facility with an auditorium, dissertation defense room, and 10 classrooms. PPGCS students may use both computer labs.<\/p>\n<p>On occasion, the CPDA (Graduate Program in Development, Agriculture, and Society) located in Rio de Janeiro hosts program meetings, qualifying exams, and dissertation\/thesis defenses.<\/p>\n<p>The bibliographic collection spans multiple units: the Central Library, the sectional library, the Multidisciplinary Institute\u2019s library, the Tr\u00eas Rios Institute\u2019s library, and the Ivan de Otero Ribeiro Documentation Center. The Central Library holds 50,637 titles and 294,302 volumes, including 8,449 titles and 23,675 volumes in the Human Sciences.<\/p>\n<p>Users may consult library materials on-site or via catalog terminals or online.
